Anonymous asked: So y'all have been on hiatus for over a year and a half now. Are you ever going to come off of hiatus, or is this indefinite?

We will be! I’d explain the hiatus, but it’s a story no one wants to hear, but we should have something for you guys in December or January!

That picture is of my baby, Dax. Dax is a 2011 Ford Escape XLT AWD, and Dax has been in my care since July 8 of this year. Well, Dax got in an accident and is inoperable. What you see is mostly cosmetic damage with a bent hood, shifted front, broken headlight, and bent-in wheel. What you can’t see includes a bent frame, demolished air box, and broken tire rods and struts. That week of the accident was one of the worst weeks of my life, and it was coupled with discovering that my insurance lapsed just in time, meaning that I am responsible for any damages. (And hey, that’s understandable—just a notice from my insurance agency would have been really nice, y’know.) The first person to look at my car gave an estimate of, “Between 5- and 7-thousand dollars.” The second person promised he could do it around $3500. Needless to say, that’s where Dax is right now: with the second person. The accident occurred out in no-man’s-land. You see, after living in my current home for 22 years, my family and I are getting kicked out and it kind of sucks. But hey, there’s nothing I can do except offer my help to buy a new home. So we’re purchasing a 40K modular home in said no-man’s-land. The accident happened on the way back to my real home. The down payment of the modular home is $5300.By the end of the week, I need $8800, and I only have $5000. My sister is helping with what she can, but she has her own responsibilities to see to.I work 35 hours a week at $8.25 an hour. It’s not much, but it’s something. At the moment I live right across the street from work, so walking isn’t an issue. However, I’m moving 20 miles away and I will need a car. I need my job, and to keep that job, I need my car. To keep my car, I need $3500.I’ve set my goal at only the price of my car, and I know it’s a steep goal, but it’s all I need to make this work. I’m very desperate for anything, and if you can’t donate, that’s okay! I’ve been in that position before, but please let others know in case they can and/or are willing to help!

Hi! Sorry for posting something personal here, especially while during the middle of a hiatus. Binni and her family needs help, and spreading the word out the lest I could do to show support. Please spread this around, maybe if you could chip in, or send her, even a short, comforting message I would appreciate it to no end. Thank you so much!!-Sires

Anonymous asked: You know I find the whole fact that Wales seems boring and lacking in personality very offensive... I am sure if you actually visited Wales you would find the people are completely different to how you've portrayed them! They are lively, sporty, Musical, creative, and most of all PROUD and I feel you've really made them dull and its REALLY offensive.

Hello, Anonymous. I’m terribly sorry you feel that way, and I’m sure Sires does, as well!

If I may, I’d like to say

a.) That wasn’t at all our intent, which sounds cheap, but when dealing with a series like Hetalia - and especially original characters - there are lines that people are far too able to toppled off of. So most surely this wasn’t our aim.

b.) In our defense, I’d like to state that besides the Gwynedd comic, Wales hasn’t really had a chance to shine. He’s usually in the background, but looking at him, he seems like a happy enough kind of guy, able to have fun! I don’t see him as dull—rather, just in the background. (And with any country, I think you’ll find that not everybody acts the way their national Hetalia character/s do/es.)

If there’s something different you think Sires and I can do when we get to return to this comic, please let us know! We’re definitely most regretful you find Wales’s representation insulting and offensive, and hopefully this can change in the near future!

-Binni

At least we didn’t base his character off solely from Swansea or Rhondda Cynon Taf! I’m QUITE fond of his character (my top fav out of the 5) so I’m VERY sorry you find him dull :D I’ll be rudely take the opposite stance from Binni and kindly escort this fellow annon to other fan creators of the British isles because there’s a LOT of them out there. That’s what makes fan creations interesting and enjoyable is because of the variation of forms and ideas every fan-contributor can manifest.

I take pride in Binni and I’s judgement in carefully extracting and sampling the essence of the nation, with many thoughtful discussions to make the highest quality works. That’s why we’re taking our bloooooody time on this project. I appreciate you all for waiting and once we get back, you’ll continue enjoying them or better yet, enjoy them even more than before!

Anonymous asked: Hi! I know you're on hiatus, but I just wondered if you would ever make something about Bulgarian history? And did Binnni delete her tumblr?

I really don’t see why we wouldn’t do anything on Bulgarian history! Not sure when we’ll get there exactly, but it’s definitely not an impossibility. :)

(And nah—this is Binni; I’m at binni-j now.)

Hiatus Update

Hello, Sires here!

I just wanted all of our fellow followers to know that this comic will be on hiatus for a bit. Well, it HAS been for a while without being noticed, and I deeply apologize for that. Long story short we won’t be able to make new comics until works some plans around. Don’t worry, the comics should be back on track soon enough and hope you’ll enjoy the new strips in the future!

Have fun, and take care!

Anonymous asked: I hope you two are doing ok! And if your just busy with life I understand, but could you give us a word or two when it might be updated again? Thankyou for your time and I love the art!

I hope Sires doesn’t mind me answering this. :];;

Hello, fair Anon! As far as I know, both Sires and myself are quite well, and thank you for said hope! :) School just recently relinquished its hold on me for the summer, so I’m gonna be working on the next update in the next couple days. Research, script-writing, and all that jazz. After that, it’s up to Sires to art everything in between work and any contests or projects she has going on.

I can’t really give you a definitive date because of that, but within the month, maybe! (Since. I dunno Sires’ schedule at the moment…. ;u;)

-Binni

I have no idea why you would think I would mind even a smidgen, Binni! I’m ready to draw anytime!

Thank you anon for your compliments, and I appreciate your interest in Histeria! I’ll post something for a heads-up when we have a more definite date.

Anonymous asked: Do you guys only do comics about the characters you have listed in the tags? Do you take requests/ideas for other characters? c:

Ahh, it’s more like we only have comics up of the characters listed in the tags, but many, many more will show up. (I have to update those, now you mention it.)

As for requests, I’m afraid it’s probably not exactly what you’re thinking. D: It’s really more the bare-minimum of the definition; we like knowing what the readers want/are expecting so we know how to steer the ship. To be fair, Sires and I are discussing lighter filler comics so that when we have larger Gaps of Life, we don’t leave you guys with 3 months’ worth of blue balls.

Ahhh I probably should have waited to answer this during a broadcast, but fdsjaklf I hope Sires will forgive me.

diningwithhannibal asked: Hello there! So, I was reading your blog and saw a little mistake in the comic where Francis is about to take Mary Queen of the Scots with him on the ship. It's nothing really serious, but still; it should 'mon petit coeur' instead of 'ma petite'. 'Coeur' is invariable and has to remain masculine, even if Mary is feminine. If you can fix that without too much trouble, you should edit it. c:

asldkfj Yep, that’s my bad. I always forget to focus on the noun; I’m always, “WELL THEY’RE TALKING TO A GIRL…” which explains my … grades in French class. Whoops….

We shall get it fixed! Thank you for letting us know!

Again, thanks for letting us know and making this comic one step closer to perfection! I appreciate your time and contribution!

Okay not gonna lie: The main reason I wanted to do this comic was because I couldn’t get the picture of England all, “GRRRR,” out of my head. And it’s based on fact, actually—during the reception for Mary’s and Francis’s wedding, the English ambassador just watched on pretty, “Kfkajfrarrrrr,” at all the happiness, and at the marital tie that Scotland and France now possessed.
As for the wedding itself, Mary’s crown was so heavy, people had to hold it in place on her head, and finally just take it off. Stress! They - Mary and Francis - married on 24 April, 1558, which made Francis the king consort of Scotland. Mary was 15, making Francis 14, and both were happy. That makes me happy! But then, when you’re that old, you like anyone who likes you, so. But they were happy regardless. :)
Not touched on in these happier/lighter comics is the rest of the Guise family. They’re up to some stuff, and it’s not all good. :( They will be addressed though. SO FEAR NOT!

I combined last comic’s and this one together, cuz they don’t have much that you can’t find in any of the other links, but here.
